Few facts on why I
decided to Learn English
Ø English is the most commonly used
language among foreign language speakers. Throughout the world, when people
with different languages come together they commonly use English to
communicate.
Ø Knowing English will make you bilingual
and more employable in every country in the world.
Ø English is commonly spoken throughout
much of the world due to Great Britain’s expansion during the colonial age.
People in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and parts of Africa, India, and many
smaller island nations speak English. English is the commonly adopted
second language in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Speaking English opens these countries and cultures up to you
Ø speaking English immediately opens up
opportunities regardless of your ethnicity, color, or background
Ø English is the official language of 53
countries. That is a lot of people to meet and speak to

I agree, even well educated professionals from foreign countries still find it a great necessity to be able to converse in English. It is a universal language.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I find it rather saddening how many people of different cultures and races always put in great efforts in learning English, but the people whose language this is don't find it necessary to learn about other cultures and languages- except for the minority of course. So we are in fact giving the language more power for it to be central.. It could have been any other language had there been equal effort put in to learn it.
